Intel to promote Haswell platform at IDF San Francisco

Intel is set to host its Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in San Francisco from September 11-13 and the company expects more than 4,000 IT industry-related visitors to participate at the show. Topics such as datacenters, embedded platforms and Intel's next-generation Haswell platform will be the major segments Intel will be promoting.

Several high-level executives from Intel including David Perlmutter, executive VP and General Manager of Intel Architecture Group, are expected to deliver speeches related to Intel's technology outlook at the show.

Intel is also expected to explain more about its upcoming Haswell processors and will be promoting the CPUs' 10W power consumption design to further improve battery longevity and to allow thinner and lighter industrial designs for ultrabooks.
