There were a total of 720,117 notebooks and desktops shipped in the
Taiwan market in the second quarter of 2012, decreasing 8.7% on quarter and 11%
on year, while the corresponding shipment value of US$444.7 million also dropped
0.6% on quarter and 10.2% on year, according to IDC Taiwan.
Desktop shipments in the second half of 2012 will rise 7.8% from the
first half, and notebook shipments will increase 44.1%, IDC Taiwan forecast.
