There were 489 million mobile Internet service
subscribers in the China market in the third quarter of 2012, increasing 4.3% on
quarter and 22.3% on year, according to China-based consulting company Analysys
International.
Operators of mobile Internet services generated
total revenues of CNY39.5 billion (US$6.22 billion) in the third quarter,
growing 6.7% on quarter and 81.2% on year, Analysys indicated. The revenues
consisted of 29% for basic monthly Internet-access fees, 24.6% for applications
and value-added services, 42.4% for mobile online shopping and 4% for
advertising services.
