Yancey Hai, chairman of Taiwan-based green energy
technology firm Delta Electronics, stated that non-Europe markets are likely to
see a demand revival in 2013. Hai expects Delta to see healthy financial growth
in second-half 2013 from growing sales of passive component, server, industrial
automation and networking products.
Hai added that Europe continues to face many
factors that will influence the economy. Other regions such as North America and
emerging economies such as China and Brazil are expected to see an upturn in
market demand, added Hai. Recently, the unemployment rate in the US has been
showing healthy numbers, and in Taiwan, firms such as Taiwan Semiconductor
Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) have been
reporting strong figures, hence Hai believes Delta will see healthy performance
in 2013.
Delta reported November consolidated revenues of
NT$14.674 billion (US$505 million), representing an on-month growth of 2% but an
on-year decrease of 2%. Sales from power supplies and components accounted for
61% of total revenues, while sales from power management accounted for 20%.
Delta's accumulated consolidated revenues for the first 11 months of 2012 were
NT$162.572 billion, an on-year growth of 2%.
