Buynow to open 3 new stores in China in 2013

Buynow, a channel retail subsidiary of notebook maker Clevo, is set to open three new stores in China in 2013, according to Clevo president Simon Tsai and strategic officer Lin Qun (transliterated from Chinese).

Tsai pointed out that Buynow has 10 stores currently under construction and which are set to be completed after 2014.
The company is also set to have Buynow listed through either an initial public offering (IPO) or real estate investment trust (REITs) and is still evaluating locations for the listing, noted Lin, adding that he personally prefers an IPO.

Lin and Tsai also noted that the China government's new policies of expanding domestic demand should greatly benefit channel retailers in the country and Buynow will gradually turn its IT shopping malls to also sell other merchandise, or even rent space to restaurants to attract consumers.
