Taiwan market: Nexus 4 will not be introduced, says LG Taiwan

The Nexus 4 will not be available in Taiwan based on the global marketing plans jointly prepared by Google and LG Electronics, according to LG Electronics Taiwan.

The decision not to introduce the Nexus 4 into the Taiwan market was also made on concerns of some regulatory restrictions, added LG Taiwan.

Instead, LG said it plans to launch a number of flagship smartphones in Taiwan before the end of February, adding that the new models will come with high hardware specifications at competitive prices.

Over 80% of handsets sold by LG in Taiwan in 2013 will be smartphones, according to an industry estimate.
