Wah Lee to see revenues drop within 5% in 1Q13, say sources

Semiconductor materials distributor Wah Lee Industrial is expected to see consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2013 decrease within a range of 5% sequentially due to off-season effects, although sales of energy products will remain strong in the quarter, according to market analysts.

Wah Lee posted revenues of NT$7.82 billion (US$269.1 million) in the fourth quarter of 2012, edging up 1.5% from the previous quarter.
Sales of time controller ICs for LCD panels and timely orders for PCBs and DRAM chips contributed to Wah Lee's revenue growth in December as well as the fourth quarter of 2012, said the analysts.

For 2012, Wah Lee is expected to post an EPS of over NT$4 on revenues of NT$31.55 billion, which were up 1% from a year earlier, the sources estimated.
