JT Wang, chairman of Taiwan-based Acer, recently stated that, because sales of tablets are forecast to reach 200 million units in 2013, the market is heading towards maturity. Also, the disappointing sales of Microsoft's Windows 8 are not due to one company, it is the problem of the entire ecosystem. Wang predicts supply, prices, and consumer preferences will turn positive for Windows 8 in the second half of 2013.
Regarding the recent executive reshuffle at Google, Wang pointed out that the integration of Chrome and Android is just a matter of time. However, Chrome uses cloud computing systems, which means the safety level is high while the Android system is open. The integration between the two will be a challenge for Google.
